Clarksville Gas and Water Department plans to close University Avenue and Franklin Street for water valve work
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Gas and Water Department (CGW) has scheduled water valve work for Monday, June 13, 2022 at 10:00 p.m. on University Avenue and Franklin Street requiring a water shutoff and road closures to allow for the work.
Water service will be cut on University Avenue from Main Street to Franklin Street and on Franklin Street from South Fifth Street to University Avenue. Low water pressure can also affect the neighborhood.
Motorists are urged to slow down as they approach the work zone and be alert for utility workers and their equipment or choose an alternate travel route when possible.
Water valve work is expected to be completed, water service restored and roads reopened by Tuesday, June 14 around 5:00 a.m.
